To develop and maintain positive relations with the community surrounding Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (LCPL) by sharing information about plant activities and their benefits.

Q1. What is the main purpose of the Community Relations Program?

The purpose of this procedure is to develop and maintain cordial relations with the community around Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (LCPL) by sharing information about plant activities and their benefits.

The Director Admin, HR & IT is responsible for implementing and maintaining the Community Relations Program, including handling public complaints and ensuring proper communication with the community.

All public complaints are documented, investigated promptly, and corrective actions are taken to prevent recurrence. The complainant is informed about the outcome of the investigation.

Employees are made aware of the HSE&S Management System and encouraged to participate in community initiatives. Managers receive training in effective communication with the public and media.

The committee, led by the Administration Manager (designated as Community Relations Manager), periodically reviews matters of interest related to the plant and the community.

The program includes community welfare schemes such as scholarships, medical camps, student training sessions, addiction treatment programs, and the issuance of “Community Welfare Bulletins.”

The company ensures adequate liaison, consultation, and briefings with local representatives, media, police, teachers, and emergency services to foster transparency and positive relations.

Employees are trained to project a positive image of LCPL, the site’s visual appearance is maintained, and public concerns are considered in HSE improvement plans.

LCPL publicizes emergency plans, makes emergency resources available for community incidents, and collaborates with local government to establish environmental safety programs.
