CRUX OF THE PROCEDURE:
Purpose:

To establish a structured training program for employees at Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited (LCPL) to ensure safe, secure, healthy, and environmentally responsible operations.

Scope:

Covers all LCPL employees (excluding temporary staff, managed separately) to ensure training needs are identified and fulfilled.

Key Requirements:
  1. Responsibilities:

    • Line Managers must define required competency standards and ensure employees are trained and competent.
    • Head of Departments (HODs) must review training needs annually and update training profiles accordingly.
    • Director Admin, HR & IT is responsible for HR and behavioral training records.
    • Director Manufacturing oversees compliance with technical and HSE training requirements.
    • HSE & Technical Training Manager develops training plans and ensures execution.
    • Assistant Manager QHSE manages practical HSE training.
  2. Training Components:

    • Induction & Orientation for new employees.
    • HSE Training as per job role.
    • Technical Training for job-specific and future role development.
    • Refresher Training at defined intervals (e.g., HSE refresher every two years).
    • On-Job Training covering local HSE requirements and compliance consequences.
  3. Training Execution:

    • A Training Need Assessment (TNA) Plan is developed yearly.
    • Training records are maintained in employees’ personal dossiers.
    • All training must be validated by the immediate supervisor.
    • Training profiles are updated annually to incorporate new requirements.
Communication & Documentation:
  • Director Manufacturing ensures all managers understand their training responsibilities.

    • Yearly TNA Plan
    • Individual Training Records
Amendments:
  • Revision 05 reflects organizational and designation changes.

  • Agrees with department heads on additional HSE & technical training needs.
  • Develops and executes the annual Training Need Assessment (TNA) plan.

The HR & IT Manager maintains the training records in employees’ personal dossiers.

Training should be reviewed and updated to match the new job requirements, ensuring the employee remains competent and aware of HSE implications.

The Director Manufacturing is responsible for ensuring that all training requirements specified in site procedures comply with company policies.
