CRUX OF THE PROCEDURE:

Purpose:
Defines the arrangements and responsibilities for establishing a Health Assessment Programme for LCPL employees and contractors at Port Qasim, City Office, and Raw Water Pumping Station.

Scope:
Applies to all LCPL employees and contractor personnel engaged by the company.

Key Requirements:

  • Pre-Employment Health Assessment: Conducted at an LCPL-approved medical facility before hiring.
  • Occupational Health Physician’s Role: Reviews pre-employment assessments and advises on recruitment decisions.
  • Health Assessment Programme: Developed and maintained by the Occupational Health Physician, HSE & Technical Training Manager, and General Manager HR & IT.
  • Annual Review: The programme is reviewed and updated annually.
  • Employee Health Monitoring:
    • Employees absent for 20+ working days must undergo a health assessment upon return.
    • Managers ensure employees comply with scheduled assessments.
  • Training & Communication:
    • HSE & Technical Training Manager ensures HR & IT and Occupational Health teams are aware of responsibilities.
    • Management staff must be informed of the procedure.

Documentation:
Includes medical records, health assessment reports, regulatory compliance documents, and assessment summaries maintained by the Occupational Health Physician and General Manager HR & IT.

Eighth revision, updated for organizational structure and designations.

Q1. What is the purpose of the Health Assessment Programme at LCPL?
